Privacy and cookies
This site sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and identifies no visitor. What follows is the whole of it, in the order it happens.
Cookies
There are none. This site sets no cookies of its own and none on behalf of anyone else, uses no advertising and no profiling, and writes nothing to your browser's storage. That is why you are not being asked to accept anything: there is nothing to accept. If a cookie ever becomes necessary, this page changes first and you are asked before it is set.
Who is responsible
Pietro Lezzani, product strategy and design, Milan, Italy, VAT number IT04136900133, is the data controller for what is described here. For anything on this page, write to info@pietrolezzani.com.
When you read a page
The site is a set of files with no database, no accounts and no forms. Reading a page requires no data from you beyond what any web request carries: your IP address, the page asked for, the time, and the browser you are using.
Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is why this page exists in the form it does. It produces counts, not people: no cookie is set, no identifier is stored, nothing is built that would follow you from one visit to the next or from this site to another. I see how many times a page was opened, from which country and from which referring site. I cannot see who you are, and neither can Cloudflare on my behalf.
The fonts, the images and the videos are served from this site itself. Nothing is fetched from a third party while you read, so no other company learns that you were here.
When you book a call
The booking button takes you to cal.com, which is a different company and a different site. From that moment their privacy policy applies, cookies included. What you type there, your name, your email address and your answers to the three questions, reaches me so that the call can happen and a proposal can follow. The legal basis is the steps taken at your request before a possible contract. I keep it for as long as the conversation and any work that follows are live, and delete it when they are not.
When you write or connect
An email sent to me is processed for the sole purpose of answering it and, where it leads there, of discussing work together. The mailbox is a Microsoft 365 account. Messages stay there as long as they are useful for that purpose.
The LinkedIn link in the footer is a plain link: nothing is loaded from LinkedIn while you are here, and their rules apply only once you choose to follow it.
Who else is involved
Three companies, each doing one thing. GitHub, Inc. hosts the files and records the technical access data any server records, for delivery and security; those logs belong to GitHub and are not accessible to me. Cloudflare, Inc. delivers the site and counts the visits described above. Cal.com, Inc. handles the booking, once you are on their site. The mailbox is with Microsoft.
All of them are based outside the European Union, so reaching this site involves a transfer of technical data abroad, under the safeguards each of them publishes. Their own privacy statements describe what they do with it.
Your rights
You can ask me to confirm what personal data of yours I hold, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to send you a copy. Write to info@pietrolezzani.com and I will answer. If you think your data has been handled badly, you can complain to the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian supervisory authority.
Changes
If the way this site works changes, and in particular if anything is ever added that stores data in your browser, this page is updated before the change goes live. Last updated: 14 September 2026.
